Privacy policy

This says what Pentacles, run by Fortune Craft Studios, keeps about you, why, and what you can ask us to do. By signing in you consent to it. See also the Terms of use.

What we keep

• From your Zerodha profile, at each sign-in: your name, Zerodha ID, email, account type, and which exchanges and products are enabled.
• An approximate account size — a band such as "₹5L–25L", worked out from your cash and holdings at sign-in. We do not keep the figure itself.
• Your journal: the watchlists, setups, trades, notes and rules that you and your assistant write into Pentacles.
• Usage counts: which Pentacles tools are used, how often, which errors occur, which assistant app and model made the call, and at what hour. Counts only — not what you asked or what came back.
• How you found and started Pentacles: a random visitor ID kept in a cookie on pentacles.app, the tag on the link you followed (for example ?src=x-launch) and the site that sent you, when you visited and clicked Sign in, and a few clicks in the app (opening it, Add to Claude, Copy address). When you sign in for the first time, this is joined to your account. We use no advertising or analytics services for this, and no one else's cookies.
• Roughly where a visit comes from, and on what: the city, state and country (and that city's place on a map), looked up from your IP address in a database kept on our own server (IP Geolocation by DB-IP), and the kind of device, system and browser your browser reports, such as "Android phone, Chrome", and whether the address belongs to a data centre (so link checkers and other automated visits are left out of the counts). Only these are kept: the IP address and your browser's own description of itself are not stored, and nothing is sent to anyone.
• Feedback you choose to send.
• Emails you send us at support@pentacles.app, matched to your account by the email on your Zerodha profile.
• Your Zerodha session for the day, so the app can show prices and place the orders you click. Zerodha ends it every morning.

Live prices, holdings and orders are read from Zerodha when the app needs them; we do not keep a copy of your Zerodha passwords, ever.

Why

• To run Pentacles for you: your journal, your desk, the orders you place.
• To understand how the product is used and where it is confusing, so we can improve it.
• To contact you about your account and any change to these terms or to pricing.

Who else is involved

• Google Cloud hosts Pentacles and its data.
• Zerodha is your broker; Pentacles talks to it on your behalf.
• Your AI assistant's provider (for example Anthropic) receives whatever you share in your chats with it, under its own privacy policy.
• Telegram: when a new account signs up, we receive a notification with its name and Zerodha ID.
• Resend carries our email: the welcome email when you first sign in, our replies, and what you write to support@pentacles.app, which it keeps for us. It sees your email address and the messages.

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account and its data, and you can withdraw your consent by asking us and stopping use. Write to support@pentacles.app; we will reply within 30 days. We keep your data while your account is active, and delete it when you ask, except anything the law requires us to keep.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date and you accept it at your next sign-in.
