Pentacles — Help

A trade journal for Indian stock traders on Zerodha, kept by Claude.

You talk to Claude; Claude writes your journal through the Pentacles connector — the stocks you are watching and why, the setups you might take (entry, stop, target), the trades you are in and what you learned from the ones you closed. The web app at pentacles.app shows all of it live, with streaming prices.

Claude never places an order. No Pentacles tool can buy, sell, change or cancel an order. You place every order yourself with the Take and Exit buttons in the app, which use only the levels already written in your journal.

What you need

A Zerodha trading account (Pentacles signs you in with your Zerodha login).
The Claude desktop app (get it here), used in a regular chat — not one inside a Project.
A laptop or desktop. Pentacles is made for a computer screen, with Claude and the app side by side. Claude's phone app is fine for a quick question; the desk and the desk agent need the Claude desktop app.

Connect

Add Pentacles in Claude: from the connectors directory, or as a custom connector with the address https://pentacles.app/mcp.
Sign in with Zerodha when asked, then choose Allow on the Pentacles page that names your assistant.
In the Claude desktop app, start a new chat — a regular chat, not one inside a Project — and say Hello Pentacles. Pentacles opens beside the chat, Claude asks one question — which of your current holdings are long-term, short-term, or to leave alone — and your desk is set up.

Zerodha ends every session at 07:30 IST, so you sign in once a day at pentacles.app. Placing orders from the app needs a second, separate sign-in to Zerodha's own connection the first time you press Take.

Use the Claude desktop app. When you say Hello Pentacles in a regular chat, pentacles.app opens in the app's own browser beside the chat and shows what Claude writes as it lands. Get the Claude desktop app.

Every tool is labelled read-only, add-only, or changes-existing-data, so Claude asks before anything that changes your records. None of them places an order.

How you trade

How you find ideas, what makes a setup, how you size and when you exit stay yours. Claude keeps your answers as your own documents, writes one only after you agree to its words, and keeps every earlier version.

Your data

Your journal belongs to your account and nobody else's. See the Privacy policy and the Terms of use.
To disconnect an assistant: in the app, open your profile (top right) → Connected assistants → Revoke. You can also remove the connector in Claude's settings.
To close your account and delete its data, write to us (below).

Limits

Indian equities on NSE and BSE, through Zerodha only.
